Wrong way!

Right way!!!

LOST AT CANADIAN BORDER!
Monday Aug 25th (update from this morning's post)

I got out of my sleeping bag and packed up the tent and bags and headed off for a nice 100 mike ride in the rain Down hill 5 miles to lone Wa looking forward to a nice ride along the pend Oreille river I am making great time and I stop to get some water. I ask how far a town was and he said you are going the wrong way you are almost to the Canadian border good news I have only went 10 miles the wrong way now that equals 20 miles net loss but b the ride was so beautiful I didn’t really mind, See the pics of water with the mountains in the back ground that was really what I looked at all day very nice 90 miles 70 net I will take it!!

I feel I am settling in and feel great on the bike!!! Boy I was a little nervous after the 1st few days slight knee pains , neck, back, toe,, butt, ok it was all hurting after 4 days of climbing but all was right today Great day on the bike. I am In a hotel tonight doing laundry in the sink (no tub) I have camped the last three nights and needed a shower !!!!

spending the night in Newport Wa 31 miles to Sandpoint Idaho. Washington has been one of the most beautiful states I have ever been in and am thrilled to have seen on a Bicycle. The people has been very nice but they do not ever ever wave I bet I waved 2500 times and received about 5 back It just must be a SW MO thing.

Notice the pics of me at the station one pointing the wrong way the other 2 hours later pointing the right way

Hey Beane seen lots of Chevy Luvs I miss the red and yellow ones we had so much fun in as teenagers . I also saw an Opel on a truck out here. very tired good night more in a few days heading toward Montana and Glacier national park Logan pass (continental divide 6600 feet in the SKY)

Lots of folks at the office are following your trip. Glad to see your still a real man, looking at the terrain map of your route looks like you didn't stop and ask for directions til you hit a big hill/mountain you weren't excpecting. be safe
