Today Thurs Aug 21st!!! one of the most rewarding also!!! 100 miles 80 up hill and I mean tailor park or bloody hill… Let me tell you what I have learned in the last 24 hrs.
When you wake up one morning and think you want to climb a 5500 ft mountain don’t think like I once did 3 miles up hill and you are over the pass oh no its 200 feet up 300 ft down 500 ft up 200 feet down 1500 feet up down to China Up and over my first pass 4800 ft oh boy just less than 1000 feet more to go over the pass Mt Washington
what the hell down 1500 ft then you go straight up hill 2500 15 hours later I am at a small town Hotel (more on that later) and the last 15 miles were all downhill 32 degrees at the pass and snowing I had on all the clothes and I have never ever been so cold on a bike in my life.
Now I did stop and take a ton of pics lakes, Mountains I lost count at 25 waterfalls and I mean several hundred foot waterfalls I don’t remember ever not hearing roaring water (lots of white water rafters) I didn’t put on my iPod on once the water was music to my ears!!! I rolled into a little town Mazam WA at 1am that’s 3 am back home soooooo cold I couldn’t stand up the last thing I wanted was to set up a tent the town has one small Inn off the beating path It's a lot nicer than a Motel 6 and yes they left the light on for me. I walk in and no one in the office just a piece of paper if no one here call ######## if no one answers enjoy the couch there is blankets and pillows in the closet Beast starts at 7am now how cool is that !!!!!!

Things I am thankful for today and glad they are on my trip:
1 my triple chain ring Ashlee and Celsie required me to have!!!
My Finish strong bracelet Sherre lane gave me just before I left I was snapping it on my wrist at 11-12 pm going up the last pass
My Rain gear as it rained on me 10 of the 15 hours today for the 2nd day in a row HEY I have only been riding two days!!!
